How do I join?

Do I have to audition?

There is no audition process to be part of the choir.

Is reading music essential?

You don’t have to be able to read music or have any musical knowledge.

What vocal group am I?

David will be able to advise you on this. We split in to four groups; Ladies, Soprano (high) & Alto (low). Men, Baritone/Tenor (high) & Bass (low).

Is there an age limit?

The choir is for over 18s only.

What sort of songs do you sing and how many?

We cover a huge range of the musical genres; pop, rock, through the decades, musicals etc.  We usually learn 2-3 new songs over the term. 

How do I communicate with Sing4You and access song material (lyrics etc)?

Members are required to download and subscribe to www.teamapp.com (also phone app) where all communication, events and song material (lyrics) will be available.

Do you support a charity?

Sing4You strive to support as many local charities and community organisations as possible, by singing at performances, organising fundraising  events and through making donations.

What do I wear at a gig?

Members are required to adhere to the Sing4You dress code at gigs and events. Ladies, blue dress (any shade, style or pattern, as long as the only colour is blue). Men, black trousers with black shirt and a Sing4You blue tie (chargeable).

How much is Sing4You and what does the cost cover?

The annual fee of £282 is paid monthly at £23.50 per month paid by direct debit.  We have 3 X min 10-week terms. There is no refund if you cannot make a week.  The fees cover; costs of a Musical Director, musical arrangements, venue hire, performing licences for all the songs that we use, insurances, maintenance of our website and advertising, other administrative costs and general expenses incurred in the day to day running of a business.

Do you have facilities and access for Disabled Members?

We try to ensure that our choir rehearsals are held in venues that have disabled access and facilities on site.

What facilities are at the rehearsal venue?

Our regular rehearsal venue (Burnham Park Hall) offers a fully licensed bar which is open from 7:45pm.

How do I cancel my membership?

You can terminate your Membership with one month’s notice by emailing  sing4you.burnham@hotmail.com
